Biography
Thomas Foole's genetic mutations became evident early in childhood, when other children began to quickly outgrow him. Despite his short stature, facial birthmarks, and somewhat spastic demeanor, his sympathetic nature and quick wit always made him friends easily. Of course, it is also much easier to know just what to say to someone when you can read their mind. This ability always seemed perfectly natural to Thomas, and few of the people in his life even knew what he was doing.
As a telepath, he was exposed early to all sides of human nature -- including evil, which he sees as a disease. He made it his mission to fight evil where it lives: in the mind.
He holds a Ph.D. in Telepsychiatry and an M.D. in Empathic Medicine, from Paragon University. He currently has a very successful private practice, and does villain rehabilitation pro bono in his spare time.

Personality
Between his super speed and his ability to read your mind, the Doc isn't left with much patience for beating around the bush. But he doesn't usually need to wait around for you to spit it out anyway. He often uses jokes to keep the mood light and promote comradery.
Powers
Doctor Fool can read thoughts and manipulate the minds of others. He can sedate, frighten, confuse, and otherwise incapacitate his foes (including robots with even rudimentary artificial intelligence). He can also instill his allies with confidence and mental clarity, relieve their pain and injury, and inspire them to persevere.

The Doc was my first level 50 Controller, and second level 50 character of any kind.
Sometime in his 40s, I finally realized that Doctor Fool's wild red hair was subliminally inspired by my Pomeranian, whom I always suspected was a telepath.
I really want to get him the Slayer of Madness badge someday.
