Biography
Lewis Behr's induction into The Viridian Guard was either his greatest moment or his worst personal tragedy. Tau Li?, last known Green Guardsman for this galaxy, was felled by Engine-9? when Lewis came upon her. Having succumbed to a matterstream encasing her power ring in a viral nanoconstruct slowly devouring her body, Tau Li? plummeted from the sky and crashlanded into Lewis's life.
Assessing Li?, her power ring in that instant deemed Lewis her successor. Sadly, as the ring's essence was corrupted by Engine-9?'s machinations, when it transferred itself from its last owner to Lewis, it brought the nanoconstruct along with it, grafting itself to his arm and beginning to devour him instead. Interacting with human physiology, however, caused the virus to mutate into a macroconstruct, assimilating his arm altogether but ceasing its organic processing at the torso.
Its cosmic power, however, remained intact.
Lewis is now a Green Guardsman of The Viridian Guard. Though it was not his choice, it is now his life.
Affiliations
Though not a founding member, The Emerald Gauntlet is superleader of the Viridian Guard supergroup on the Guardian server. Having started his superhero career in The Agents of Earth? supergroup, he still maintains an alliance with them.
Personality
Lewis is a bit of a tragic hero and, though he faces those challenges assigned to him like a good soldier, if asked, he will confess his reluctance. In secret, he feels that he has surrendered his life and literal limb to an agency far larger than his brain can wrap around and that he is but a cog lost within the entirety of the great machine. Though before he had lacked a certain direction in his life, to be coerced into one is a bittersweet development that he feels terrible for occasionally being alright with.
Powers
Viridian Energy Constructs
Like other green guardsmen, Emerald Gauntlet is capable of manifesting energy constructs comprised of viridian energy by way of a token that links him to the Central Beacon. In particular, Lewis can use this energy to propel himself bodily, protect himself from the vacuum of space, form protective barriers as well as produce high-yield energy emissions.

Being a(n obvious) Green Lantern homage and having occupied that slot in The Agents of Earth?, itself a DCU homage, this character became the core concept by which The Viridian Guard was built upon. This character was built before the advent of Power Customization and definitely benefited from it when it went live.
