Biography

As the world has always been covered by a net of ley lines and places of mystery, there has always been a champion to safeguard those areas where the lines come together to form a nexus of power. Tied to locales and capable of summoning the very might of the earth itself, they have been known as druids, seneschals and heralds. Flint Mason is such a champion for this day and age.

A geology student on a routine survey in The Hollows, Flint came upon a trail that led to his being nearly buried alive beneath a rockslide. Digging his way free, he uncovered a fissure leading to a remote cave. There, he encountered an impossibly old woman dressed in dirty rags who quickly seized him and uttered, "The burden, the duty and the power are now yours", before falling dead at his feet. Mystic glyphs in the cave flared brightly and Flint was instantly possessed of the knowledge of those who came before him.

Their mission was now his.

Personality

With a new understanding of the power of words, Flint makes use of few socially. Despite his reticence, he maintains the reputation of being a consummate gentleman, his manners only properly described as classically refined. He is always ready to support his comrades in arms in whatever magical capacity he can and demonstrates an uncanny metacognizance the likes of which are rare in the modern world as he is painfully aware of the interconnectedness of all things. And throughout this all, he does not let slip how great a burden his arcane ability constantly weighs upon him.

Mystical Inheritance
Suddenly imbued with intimate knowledge of the earth and the arcane energies that not only criss-cross it and describe it but define it as well, Flint can magically shape stone and wield the living essence of the earth itself. Through practiced spellcasting, he is even able to shunt a distant person through the elemental plane of earth to then appear within his vicinity.
