Biography
It was a boring Halloween in Croatoa when four members of the Cabal decided to make their own fun. They were pretty hammered and, with nothing better to do, dared each other into using magic purely for entertainment.
"I dare ya to ..*hic*.. make that li'l pumpkin patch.. ya know, haunted.. *hic* Like it's got a life of its own, all viney and moving around by itself..", said one witch.
"Ha! I dare you ta make it ..*hic* walk an' talk like a man.. *hic*", giggled another.
"Ooh!", chortled a third, "Give it the ability to expel its seed (Ha! I said seed!) and coat others with its innards.. protectively!"
"Hee!", laughed the first two. "You totally said seed!"
"Oh, I know..", dared the fourth, falling over, "Instill within it.. get this.. a conscience! And a will to ..*hic* to do ..good in this world!"
The four howled in inebriated amusement, causing sparks to fill the night air.
The next day, they vowed to never speak of that night ever again. Not even on Facebook.
Affiliations
Li'l Pumpkin Patch is a member of the All You Can Beat supergroup on the Virtue server. He also has a tenuous connection to The Cabal, but they would never admit to having any association with him.
Personality
Curious about humanity but unable to speak, Patch does what he was created for. He sometimes tries to elicit a reaction from other plants but unaware that they lack the sentience to do so, he dejectedly wanders away thinking they don't like him. This isn't helped by the fact that those plant beings who do respond and are similar to him almost always attack him.
Powers
Botanical Affinity
Though otherwise mute, Li'l Pumpkin Patch can somehow communicate with non-sentient plant life, enlisting their aid and stimulating their growth.
Pumpkin Innards
Patch is capable of expelling his seed (I totally just wrote "expelling his seed") in order to protect allies and hinder foes. He is able to magically have his expulsions orbit their target in order to affect them. This ability also allows him to fly.
Harvest
Learning from watching, Li'l Pumpkin Patch is no longer a stranger to the ways of farmers and has adopted one of their harvesting methods to aid him in his fight for good. He would never use it against another non-sentient plant being the way they do, though.
