Biography

Officer Cruller is on a personal crusade. Or so he thinks. For starters, his name isn't even Cruller. It's Hughes. Paul Hughes. Paulie, to some. He's just called Officer Cruller because of his unrivaled fervor for that delectable of delectables, that indulgence of indulgences.. the mighty donut.

Thanks to his Police Chief Dad, ever since Paulie was a wee munchkin he's been madly in love with that particular confection of a thousand faces. It's the perfect fuel for the man machine that he considers himself to be (he even declares so on occasion). Recently, he's heard that there's been a shortage of donuts in Paragon City. Crullers, namely. Surely this must be the work of villains, thought he, not once conjecturing so pedestrian an explanation as, ya know, a downed delivery truck or something equally mundane.

(He's not very bright, ya see.)

So now, Paulie's on a quest to vanquish all evil to safeguard the inscrutable and delectable donut. Because if he doesn't save the wee donuts, who will?

Affiliations

Officer Cruller is a member of the Champions of Breakfast ? supergroup on the Virtue server. He is also a member of the greater Paragon Police Department (on assignment).

Personality

Gullible, big-hearted and with a large presence, this macho, macho man is the metaphorical bull in a china shop in practically every social situation and any situation, really, that requires any modicum of elegance. But his heart's in the right place and despite being just as smart as said bull, ole Paulie wouldn't hurt a fly.. unless it deserved it.

But then he'd feel real sorry about it later.

(Paulie, that is. Not the fly. Though the fly would no doubt be hurting something awful.)

Powers

Not-So-Standard Issue Ordinance
Assigning him to assist with the Champions of Breakfast (or, possibly, just getting him out of their hair), Paulie is outfitted with mildly unconventional firearms that most beat cops do not usually get: The Frankengun. Its deviation from the norm is supplanted only by its versatility as a field weapon.

Given his connections within the police force, Cruller has special dispensation and is allowed access to and use of seized personal effects and discarded court evidence meant to be destroyed.
