Biography
Mike Wong is a mutant.
Barely.
On the Gibbs scale, he's a 2, so his ability to control air manifests as an occasional gust. Making a dustdevil once cost him a hospital stay and since then he's felt pretty pathetic. So when the chance to test some GEAR appeared, he jumped. With the Genetic Enhancement Apparatus Rig, Mike could form shields out of air as well as close range bursts.
He felt powerful.
He prayed that he could always feel this way.
And suddenly he could - the facility he was at came under attack and, in the chaos, he absconded with the tech, its theft blamed on the Resistance.
Mike knows that one day he'll have to surrender the GEAR. And no doubt his freedom along with it. Until then though he's going to enjoy being an alpha mutant for once. And he's going to be grateful to the Resistance the whole time.

Personality
Pinwheel is very happy to be here. So happy, in fact, that he's overly enthusiastic in showing off what he can now do. He's quick to find a reason - any reason - to use his enhanced powers and will do so even for the more mundane of tasks. And of course noone knows that his inherent ability isn't as impressive as his current ability.
Given the origin of the equipment he's using to enhance his abilities, he's very careful and evasive when it comes to interacting with law enforcement officials. He will flee the scene as soon as possible should he know that the police are on the way.
Powers
Air Mastery
Via GEAR augmentation, Mike is capable of summoning and meticulously directing miniature but powerful winds. With this ability, he is able to surround himself with protective yet constantly churning gusts of air that allows for the deflection of many attacks. Moreover, he is able to give form to pneumatic blasts that he can direct at foes within a very limited range (the summoned gusts dissipate harmlessly if they travel long distances).
