Biography
This crisp crimefighter is the result of extensive genetic engineering. The researchers at Nutrilicious Foods (a subsidiary of Crey Industries) had two design goals: increase the carrot's shelf life, and make it resistant to pests. Their modifications to one sample of carrot DNA were spectacularly effective. The subject not only repaired itself when nibbled, but to their astonishment, it physically fought off the lab rats with lethal force.
Along with self-animation, the carrot exhibited intelligence almost immediately. It continued to grow and develop under the watchful eyes of the human scientists. And it watched them right back, learning much more than they imagined. It saw their cruelty toward other test subjects -- animal and vegetable alike -- and even this simple carrot knew that it was wrong.
Apparently others agreed, because the lab was soon raided by heroes, and the scientists led away to prison. The carrot was taken as evidence, and analyzed in SERAPH's crime lab, which soon discovered its unusual properties. They began teaching it to communicate, guiding its moral and psychological development even as its combat skill continued to grow.
Today, Carrot maintains a humanoid shape, to better navigate a world built by humans.

Personality
On the flipside of his reknowned bravery and tenacity, Carrot is a bit naive and idealistic. He is abysmal at lying, and only slightly better at detecting lies. His sense of humor is not yet well developed; most jokes sail right over his head. But he gives his trust completely, which has earned him the friendship of many a hero with a dark past.
Powers
Carrot's accelerated growth rate allows him to regenerate tissue damage at an alarming rate. He has exceptional strength and combat instincts. And he's positively bursting with vitamin A.
Equipment
The Deadly Carrot fights crime with his bare hands. However, his time among humans has taught him a modicum of physical modesty, so he always wears green Speedos over his, ahem, taproot. He also finds that wearing a cape helps him gain social acceptance more quickly.
